IMPHAL, Apr 13: Documentary film “Land of the Blackbuck” directed by Sumanth Kuduvalli was screened today at the Seminar Hall of the Department of Mass Communication, Manipur University. The documentary offers a compelling exploration of India's overlooked grassland ecosystems and highlights the urgent need for their conservation, bringing together perspectives from local communities, scientists and conservationists.
The event provided a unique opportunity to the students of Mass Communication to engage and interact with the acclaimed filmmaker.
During the session, they gained insights into environmental storytelling, conservation cinema and the role of media in shaping public perception.
Sumanth Kuduvalli's earlier works also include a visual documentation of the Sangai in Keibul Lamjao National Park.
