Candlelight vigils held

IMPHAL, Apr 13: Three Manipuri associations in Shillong held a candlelight vigil to express solidarity with the family of the two children who were bombed to death at Tronglaobi in Bishnupur district in the adjoining night of April 6 and 7 and three others who were killed in CRPF firing. The vigil was organsied by the Shillong Manipuri Students' Union, Meghalaya Manipuri Welfare Society and Manipuri Women's Association. A candlelight vigil was also held at Cachar in front of the Lamyanba Hijam Irawat statue at Pallarbond Karong. In Thoubal district, members of the Youth Sporting Club, Thoubal Kiyam Siphai Khundongbam Leikai, also organised a candlelight vigil to show solidarity with the victims of the twin incidents.
