Not just a crime, an assault on humanity : Nishikant

IMPHAL, Apr 7 : Keishamthong AC MLA Nishikant Singh Sapam has strongly condemned the horrific killing of an innocent 5-year-old child and a 5-month-old infant at Tronglaobi in Bishnupur district, stating that there should be no mercy for those who seek to destabilize Manipur.
"This is not just a crime; it is a direct assault on humanity and a cruel attempt to tear apart the fragile peace we are working hard to rebuild," he said, demanding the strictest action against everyone involved.
Expressing deep sorrow and anger over the barbaric act, the MLA remarked that the victims were not merely children-they were part of Manipur’s soul, "they were our own."
Nishikant asserted that such inhumane acts are clearly meant to spread fear, hatred, and division among the people.
"Those behind these atrocities are not just criminals; they are enemies of Manipur. They are trying to break our State, divide our people, and destroy the harmony that binds us together," he said.
The MLA emphasised that there must be no mercy for those who aim to destabilize Manipur. He called on the people to stand united at this critical juncture and to protect the integrity, unity, and future of the State with unwavering resolve. "Let our grief strengthen our unity. Let our pain fuel our determination," Nishikant added.
