Curfew clamped

IMPHAL, Apr 7: Following the killing of two kids in a terror attack by Kuki militants at Tronglaobi, Bishnupur district and the death of three persons in unrestrained firing by CRPF, curfew has been imposed in the districts of Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Kakching.
According to separate orders issued by the respective District Magistrates of the five districts, the curfew imposed since this afternoon under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 will remain in force until further orders.
While movement of any person outside their respective residence has been prohibited, the orders mentioned that the prohibition will not apply to Government agencies engaged in maintenance of law and order, and essential and emergency services.
