Research scholar RK Jaman bags gold at Iron Fist Fighting C’ship-4

IMPHAL, May 11 : State lad RK Jaman sealed a gold medal at the Iron Fist Fighting Championship-4 that concluded yesterday at  Ramaiah University in Bengaluru.
RK Jaman, who is also a Chemistry research scholar at St Joseph University, Bengaluru won the gold medal in the -54 kg category competition for RMX Mixed Martial Arts Fitness Centre run by Manipur’s MMA pioneer Roshan Mainam.
Jaman defeated Rahul representing Pride MMA Bengaluru via “Rear Naked Choke” in the amateur catchweight bout to seal the top honour in the National level competition hosted by Iron Fist Fight Club. Jaman is the son of RK Lamtasana and RK Sushini of Wangkhei Ashangbam Leikai. Four other fighters of RMX Mixed Martial Arts Fitness Centre also won gold medals in the event, a source said.
