IMPHAL, May 18: The Tamenglong district administration has issued a travel advisory urging residents to travel on the Tamenglong-Imphal route only under unavoidable circumstances and with security convoys deployed on the highway.
The advisory issued by Deputy Commissioner L Angshim Dangshawa, said the denizens of Tamenglong district travelling between Imphal-Tamenglong-Imphal-Tamenglong under unavoidable circumstances on grounds of health checkup, education or other matters of utmost importance should travel along with security convoy deployed along the highway.
The convoy is generally scheduled on a daily basis, unless disrupted due to natural calamities or other unforeseen circumstances, said the advisory.
It instructed citizens to plan their travel in close coordination with the district police to get necessary assistance and safe passage.
It also advised people to reach out to the Police Control Room on 6909021187.
