MUSU lifts

IMPHAL, May 20 : The Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU) has lifted the shutdown of the Manipur University’s administrative block.
Addressing the media at the MU campus, MUSU president Nongpoknganba Yambem said the shutdown was imposed in protest against the controversial appointment of the Vice-Chancellor in charge.
He said that they decided to lift the shutdown after submitting a five-point memorandum to the Governor, who is the Chief Rector of MU.
He also said that they sought the intervention of the MU Visitor and the Ministry concerned to resolve the issue at MU.
