IMPHAL, May 21: Twelve members including Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand and Assembly Speaker Th Satyabrata took oath as members of the Shree Shree Govindaji Temple Board today.
CM Y Khemchand and Speaker Th Satyabrata took oath as president and vice president respectively during the ceremony at the Shree Shree Govindaji Temple, Imphal.
The 12 members of the Board will serve a 3-year term.
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand said he pray and wish for the auspicious day to bring about peace.
Th Satyabrata also prayed for peace and prosperity to return to Manipur.
The Chief Minister, when asked what steps have been taken by his Government to secure the release of Naga and Kuki hostages, averted a direct answer.
