Wife allegedly stabs husband to death

BISHNUPUR, May 30: A man was allegedly stabbed and killed by his wife in Moirang, Bishnupur district this evening.
The incident occurred at a hotel along the Tiddim Road, under Moirang Municipal Council, Ward No 10 at around 7 pm. The deceased has been identified as Pukhrambam Premkumar (47) of Moirang Khoiru Makha Leikai, and his wife who allegedly stabbed him has been identified as Pukhrambam ongbi Manitombi.
Police were informed about the incident by an alleged witness at around 7.59 pm. Police rushed the man to CHC Moirang, but he succumbed to his injuries at around 8.05 pm.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at RIMS Hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered and an investigation has been launched.
