4th MNCA Men’s U19 One Day Trophy M Swabhiman’s all-round heroics powers TRAU to 203-run win

IMPHAL, Jun 4 : An all-round heroics from M Swabhiman secured a massive 203-run win for TRAU, Kwakeithel against Blue Hawk, Khurai in a Group B encounter of the 4th MNCA Men’s U19 One Day Trophy 2025-26 today at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground.
After being asked to bat first, TRAU raised a modest total of 246 runs for 9 wickets in 40 overs courtesy of a crucial half century knock from Mutum Swabhiman, who later enjoyed a four wicket haul to dismantle Blue Hawk for 43 runs within 15.3 overs.
Tyrus Chabungbam (48 off 49 balls; 7 fours and 2 sixes) and Huiningshumbam Luching (7 off 34 balls; 1 four) gave TRAU a promising start by adding 60 runs for the first wicket in 10.5 overs before Ishorchandra (26 off 30 balls) and Swabhiman added 35 runs off 40 balls for the third wicket to take the team past the 100-run mark.
Swabhiman then carried forward the game by adding 64 runs off 39 balls for the fifth wicket partnership with Keisham Yaikhomba until Swabhiman was undone by Nongdamba Khunjamayum on 66. Swabhiman’s 41-ball 66 knock was laden with 5 fours and 5 sixes.
Keisham Yaikhom kept the scoreboard ticking and added  48 runs off 38 balls with Potshangbam Jit (23 off 21 balls) for the 8th wicket until he was bowled out by Akoijam Dhitaraj for the 9th wicket on 31 (off 43 balls).
Gurumayum Shivestian 4 and Moirangthem Ringku 2 were unbeaten as TRAU closed out their innings at 246/9.
Akoijam Dhitaraj returned with the best bowling figures of 2/46 for Blue Hawk as Thokchom Dhanaraj (1/41), Moirangthem Romesh (1/55), Nongdambam Khunjamayum (1/25), Nandakishor (1/34) and Nitish (1/4) chipped in with a wicket apiece.
In reply, Blue Hawk batters had a nightmarish chase and were bundled out for a paltry total of 43 runs in 15.3 overs as Mutum Swabhiman (4/10 in 4 overs), Preethson Arubam (2/16), M Ringku (2/11) and G Shivestian (2/6) wreaked havoc and took wickets at will.
Only Nongdamba (11 off 27 balls) was able to add a double digit run to the tally for the team.
Swabhiman, who shone to guide TRAU to second straight win, was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Khudeiband Lampak, PTRC, Patsoi Part IV defeated SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 72 runs for the second Group D win in three matches.
Chosing to bat first, PTRC racked up 164/9 in 37 overs thanks to leading knocks from Laitonjam Jackson (50 off 63 balls) and Bedabiyas Pheiroijam (30 off 58 balls) before before bundling out SHADOW for 92 runs riding on a concerted effort among Ngasepam Shivason (3/19), Bhuson Ph (2/13), Henba Paonam (2/10), and Laitonjam Jackson (2/19).
For SHADOW, Yohenba Konjengbam (4/24) enjoyed a four wicket haul in his spell of 6 overs but his effort went in vain as Sagatpam Telheiba 21, H Chinglemba 14, K Yohenba 11 and L Bidyasagar 11 emerged the leading run getters.
The Group A match between Model Club, Chingamakha and CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai was meanwhile abandoned due to rain.
