NSCN (IM) refutes KIM’s claim

IMPHAL, Jun 5: NSCN (IM) has flatly rejected a statement issued by Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) today on the violent attack that took place at Loibol village, Kangpokpi district in which three persons were killed and some houses were burnt down.
A statement issued by MIP, NSCN(IM) accused KIM of engaging in a "systematic fabrication, distor- tion, and misinformation" campaign designed to mislead the public and manipulate narratives regarding the ongoing situation.
"KIM’s repeated attempts to weaponize the suffering of the dead and injured expose a cynical agenda that has become all too familiar. The statement is seen as nothing more than what they are; an opportunistic attempt to exploit human tragedy for political gain”, the Naga outfit said.
Maintaining that the accusations levelled against them are entirely "baseless" and lack credible evidence, NSCN (IM) warned that spreading unverified allegations only deepens mistrust, fuels further division, and actively hinders efforts to restore normalcy and foster genuine dialogue in the region.
Condemning the "reckless dissemination of misinformation," the GPRN urged KIM and its affiliated groups to immediately stop circulating unsubstantiated claims.
Falsehoods, no matter how often repeated, do not become facts, it added.
