I Hemochandra elected as exec council member of IOA

IMPHAL, Dec 16 : I Hemochandra Singh, former MLA, Singjamei AC, who is also the president of Manipur Olympic Association, has been elected to the prestigious Executive Council Member of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) in the recently held annual general meeting and election of Indian Olympic Association on December 14, 2017 at Olympic Bhavan, B-29, Qutub Institutional Area, New Delhi.

IMPHAL, Dec 16 : NRSU defeated MTFC 1-0 to set up summit clash against Changvei FC which beat Head Hunters 3-2 via a tie break in today’s semi-final matches of the ongoing TNFLCFC Araang League 2017 at Bakshi Mini Stadium, Ukhrul.
NRSU defeated MTFC 1-0 in a hard fought match through a goal scored by Thangtinlen in the 36th minute.
The second semi-final match between Changvei FC and Head Hunters FC ended in a 0-0 stalemate in the regulation time and the winners were decided through penalty shoot-out.
In the shoot-out, Changvei FC scored three goals against two goals scored by Head Hunters FC to meet NRSU in the final.

IMPHAL, Dec 15: A 40 member taekwondo team comprising 34 players and 6 officials of the Taekwondo Federation of Manipur, Kongba Khetri Leikai will leave Imphal on December 16 for Kolkata to participate in the Open National Taekwondo Championship, 2017 which will be held at Girish Park, Kolkata from December 17 to 20 this year.

IMPHAL, Dec 15 : Cheengkhu YC, prevailed over Slumber Boots today to notch up a 3-0 victory while ACFC edged out The Elite Squad 2-1 in the second semi final match of the Thuwngkhu Cup 2017 which is currently underway at Mini Stadium,Chandel. The two teams will meet in the final match on December 19.

IMPHAL, Dec 15 : The 3rd State Level Junior Volleyball Tournament organised by Social Welfare Educational and Cultural Association (SWE-CA) under the aegis of All Manipur Volleyball Asso-ciation kicked off today at Thiyam Konjin High School playground. The tournament is organised in memory of Late Konthoujam Ranjit and members of SWECA. Altogether 8 teams divided into 2 groups are taking part in the tournament.

KLASA storm into quarterfinal in Shaheed Manoranjan Football

Imphal, Dec 14: KLASA Keinou edged past FC Zalen 2-1 to storm into the quarterfinal of the 8th CRPF Saheed Manoranjan Football Tournament organised by the Group Centre CRPF, Langjing and Imphal West District Football Association under the supervision of IGP, Manipur and Nagaland Sector and All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) at the Khuman Lampak Artificial Turf Ground today.
