That is why, though the House has held discussion twice on it on Friday and there is a consensus, I hope that the response of the Government will be favourable, and it will be such a response that we may convey the opinion of the House to them and they may call off the hunger strike. They tried to put forth powerful arguments that Manipuri is a language of the Tibeto-Burman group, and this is going to be an asset to India if we consider this language also as a major national language. The arguments are very powerful and forceful. I do not say “no’’.
