IMPHAL, Mar 25: Oath taking ceremony of the newly elected representatives for the various posts of All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) for the year 2017 was organised today along with the release of the Union’s action plan at AMSU Hqs.

Returning Officer, Election Committee, AMSU HQs, has stated that the election for the various posts of AMSU for the session 2017-2019 was held today and Manjit Sarangthem of DM College (B Ed), Laishram Peter of MU, Haobijam Chalamba of IRE Wangjing (Research Scholar, Manipuri Dept, MU) and Loitam Ojitkumar of Western College have been appointed as the president, vice president, general secretary and finance secretary respectively.

IMPHAL, Mar 20 : All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) has condemned the death of an 18-year old girl who was found dead in a pond at Irengband.

The 4th Foundation Day of Manipuri Story Collection was held at AMSU Head Quarters, DM College campus, today, along with a prize distribution ceremony for the Short Story Competition organised by Manipur Short Story Collection team, on the popular social networking site Facebook, from February 15 to 17.

Thoubal: Demanding details of the Framework Agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN (IM), AMSU District Council members and women vendors of Thoubal Keithel raised many slogans today. Effigies of PM Narendra Modi and NSCN (IM) leader Muivah were burned during the agitation.

IMPHAL, Feb 21 : Supporting the series of agitation taken up by AMSU demanding a white paper on the Framework Agreement signed between Government of India and NSCN (IM), students and women vendors of Bishnupur district launched various agitation today.

IMPHAL, Feb 20 : Reacting to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s assurance that the Framework Agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN-IM on August 3, 2015 does not mention anything about Manipur and it would not affect the territorial integrity of Manipur, the All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) has categorically stated that the verbal assurance was not enough.

Thoubal: Distribution of leaflets and poster campaign at Thoubal Bazar was held today by AMSU Thoubal Committee in connection with the demand made by AMSU Thoubal to disclose the Framework Agreement which was signed between the Government of India and NSCN (IM).

IMPHAL, Feb 15: As announced yesterday, the All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) today launched a campaign christened ‘Cam-paign for Protection of Historical and Political Identity of Manipur’ at Shamu Makhong, Khwai-ramband this afternoon demanding a white paper on the contents and details of the framework agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN-IM on August 3, 2015.
