Meira paibi lups namely AJMP, JIMPAL, WASAD, JIMWAK, WWOK and JKCTIL boycotted the DPC and condemned CDPO, ICDS Jiribam for alleged termination of previously selected Anganwadi workers and helpers on false ground.
JIRIBAM, Dec 12:Members of Hmar Women Association and Hmar Women Society conducted frisking and checking along Chhotobekara-Borakhal road in protest against the proposed survey of hill settlement at the said road.

Jiribam: Hmar Students’ Association today appealed concerned authorities of the Government to revoke an order of the Directorate of Settlement and Land Records, Manipur to undertake revenue survey in 17 Hmar villages, vide proclamation No. 4/69/87-DLR(Vol-IV) dated 29/11/2017. 17 villages out of the total 27 where survey would be conducted are inhabited by the Hmar since the last 10 decades or more said a statement issued by the student body. The students’ association further condemned the abolition of Hill House Tax in the region. It warned Government of serious agitations if authorities fail to revoke the order.
JIRIBAM, Dec 8 : The Inter Village Roads in Jiribam continue to remain in a deplorable condition despite the assurance and promises of the State Government to start the repairing work after the monsoon.
The Dibong Khunou IVR along the NH 37 has been pathetic for so long and the continuous neglect of the authority concerned has led the locals of Dibong Khunou to take an ultimatum to block any vehicular passage along the road from December 10.
The locals urged the authority concerned to take up the repairing work before December 10 and added that they would be compelled to start their agitation from the day itself.

JIRIBAM, Dec 4:A day after sections of Jiribam hold protest condemning the allegations against a doctor, today ASHA workers of Jiribam staged a similar protest in front of the Emoinu Gas Agency, Babupara, Jiribam to condemn the various allegations levelled against the doctor.
Jiribam: A rubber sheet smoke house caught fire at Raniveng, Jiribam under the Municipal area of Babupara ward no 7, Jiribam caught fire at around 3 pm today. The house was owned by one Seikholein Khongsai of Raniveng , Jiribam. As per family, Rs 50,00 worth 4 quintals of rubber sheets kept inside the house were reduced to cinders. Fire service was called in and the fire was put under control, report said.

JIRIBAM, Nov 30: Taking strong exception to the notification that hill villages in Jiribam district will no longer have to pay Hill House Tax, a number of Hmar, Kuki and Thadou organisations have threatened to merge with Pherzawl district.
