KAKCHING, Aug 6: Bhoubon Technical and Skill Development (BTSD) Pvt Ltd, Uripok Yambem Leikai, Quivan Skill Empowerment Pvt Ltd, Kolkata and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) have collaborated to take up initiatives for provide jobs to the youth of the State, and a meeting was held with the first batch trainees of Kakching circle along with their guardians at BTSD branch office, Kakching Paji Leikai today. During the meeting, BTSD Pvt Ltd Chairman N Nabachandra stated that the trainees who received the training now have the capacity and the ability to tie up with companies outside the State.
Kakching: Youth Development and Sporting Organisation, Chairel organised a free health camp at Chairel Khongnang Leikai Meitei Shanglen Mandop today.
A total of 230 people participated in the camp.
The organisation lauded the DC, Kakching and CMO for their assistance and support.
Kakching: ADC, Chandel member Ch Meshil inaugurated the Machi market shed which was constructed by ADC, Chandel at Machi Block Headquarters yesterday under 3rd Finance Commission 2016-2017.
A machi market which will be opened twice a week was also inaugurated, reports our correspondent.
Kakching: Kakching Khunou Youth Forum has drawn the attention of the State Government regarding the construction of Kakching District Headquarters.
A press release issued by president secretary of the forum urged the State Government to choose an area which would be convenient for the people of Kakching while constructing the DHQs.
KAKCHING, Aug 4: A team of Thoubal police personnel detained a person, travelling from Myanmar, near Pallel gate today.
The person, who identified himself as Md Abdul Hussain, was detained at pallel outpost along Imphal Moreh road when he was found travelling in a passenger vehicle without any valid documents and identification cards.
The police team seized 47 numbers of five thousand Kyats bank notes (K5000) of Central Bank of Myanmar and one NEWMID mobile phone from his possessions.
The individual along with the seized items were later handed over to Kakching police station.
KAKCHING, Aug 4: In a view to strengthen the relation between police and public, Pallel police organised a “Police Community Liasion Group Meeting” at Pallel police station conference hall yesterday.
The programme which was organised under the directive of SP, Kakching W Singhajit and SDPO, Kakching Th Deshorjit Singh was attended by Pallel police station OC Ng Anthony, women CSOs, local club leaders, students, village chiefs and police personnel.
Kakching: The Kakching District Head Quarter Demand Committee, Waikhong, has urged the State Government to allocate Waikhong Thongjao as the Head Quarter of the district.
Speaking to media persons, the chairman of the committee, Ng Joykumar Singh said that Waikhong Thongjao has a State Reserve land of 5.10 sq kilometres which does not affect or cut across any paddy fields.
He said that Waikhong Thongjao is well connected and in equal distance from Kakching AC, Wabagai AC, Hiyanglam AC and Sugnu AC. Joykumar also pointed out that all the facilities should not be concentrated on already developed areas and Kakching district does not necessarily need to have the same name as the HQ.

KAKCHING, Jul 29: Kakching district police organised a one day community interaction programme at Irengband village today.
The one day community interaction programme was organised by Kakching district police under the supervision of SP Kakching, W Singhajit.
SDPO Kakching, Th Deshorjit Singh, 2nd OC Kakching police station SI Martin, Kakching police station SI Priya and ex Pradhan of Irengband Jateshwar took part in the event as the presidium members. Various issues regarding mob justice, crimes against women and drug abuse were discussed at the event. The local elders, womenfolk, Meira Paibis, club members and students from different schools of Irengband attended the event. An interaction programme was also conducted after the event.

KAKCHING, Jul 26: In connection with the grave aftermath of the recent flood damaging fish farms and paddy fields, Kakching Khunou Youth Forum, Kakching district has sought attention of the State Government to provide assistance to the farmers and the victims. A press release issued by president secretary of the forum stated that more than 200 acres of paddy fields have been destroyed and several fish farms have been damaged.
It has also urged the authority concerned to improve the deteriorating condition of Uyok bridge which is built across Tarang river and serves as the most important connectivity for Indo- Burma-Sugnu road.
