KANGPOKPI, Dec 8 :Expressing disappointment over the alleged deliberate snub by the MPSC over the tribal candidates in the recruitment of Principals for the State colleges, KSO and ANSAM have demanded for a roll back of the declared results and to conduct a fresh recruitment by alterating the rules and regulations so as to accommodate competent tribal candidates.

Jiribam, Dec 7 : The Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) , Jiri-Tamenglong branch vehemently condemned the action of detaining innocent and mentally unsound villagers of Longphailum, Tamenglong by 37 Assam rifles.
Kapminthang, Nemneihat and Baby Thangpilun were detained, conveyed a statement released by president of Kuku Students’ organisation (KSO), Jiri-Tamenglong branch, Haokhosiem Singson.
The organisation sought the attention of authority concerned against such inhuman act of detaining a child of one and half month old along with parents while on their way to vaccinate their child. The KSO urged the authority concerned to intervene and take necessary measures at the earliest.

IMPHAL, Oct 10:In view of BRTF’s failure to settle the killing of Lamjaneng Touthang alias Sumana Begum, the KSO, Ukhrul district have decided not to own any responsibility in the event of any untoward incidents that may arise with respect to the issue, if the problem is not settled within October 15, conveyed a press release issued by general secretary of KSO, Ukhrul.

TENGNOUPAL, Sep 3: The Kuki Students’ Organisation, Moreh, has strongly condemned the selection of the principal of Moreh Government Higher Secondary School, PremPyari, for the State Award. A press release issued by the education secretary of the organisation stated that the principal was often absent whenever the organisation visited the school. It also learned that the school neither have full classes nor does it provide requisite mid day meals and other beneficiaries to the students.

IMPHAL, Jul 29: Paotinthang Lupheng has been re-elected as president of Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) Ghqs for the term 2017-19 during an election held today at Kuki Inn.
According to a statement, Lunngaisang Vaiphei, Thanglalson Baite, Hemang Haokip and Thanglenmang Simte were elected as VP (Admin), general secretary, education secretary and finance secretary respectively.
The election was conducted by the KSO Standing Committee as the election commission. It was participated by all the KSO district branches and sister organisations such as the Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), Gangte Students’ Organisation (GSO), Komrem Students’ Union (KRSU) and Zillai.
Thangkhosei Haokip (Kumpipa) and president of Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) Khamliankhup Zou also participated in the election as election observers.
Expansion of the executive body will be held on August 12 by nomination system through consensus between the KSO Standing Committee and the newly elected executives.

IMPHAL, Jul 27: The KSO General Headquarters election, is being scheduled to be held at 11 AM on July 29, at Kuki Inn, Imphal.
In this connection the election committee (STC) has invited all the functionaries of its sister organisations, executives of KSO branches and well wishers to participate in the election with enthusiasm.
The posts of president, vice-president (administration), general secretary, finance secretary and education secretary shall be duly elected on the occasion while other remaining posts shall be nominated at a later date by the KSO Standing Committee and the newly elected executives.

IMPHAL, Jun 29 : The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) and Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Ghqs have submitted a joint representation to the Director of Tribal Affairs and Hills stating that the Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) has been denied unduly to the Scheduled Tribes Theological students from Manipur studying across India.

IMPHAL, Jun 29: The KSO General Headquarters has condoled the untimely demise of M Thangkhohao Haokip, MLA of Tamu constituency and Minister in the Government of Sagaing Division. The Minister today passed away at Mandalay after battling cancer.

IMPHAL, Jun 27: A grand felicitation for 14 MPSC selected officers and for 180 successful students of Matric and HSE was held yesterday at Kuki Inn, Imphal. The function was presided over by President of KSO General Headquarters, Paotinthang Lupheng with Letpao Haokip, Minister of IFCD & YAS as the chief guest.

Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) Shillong branch has condemned in the strongest terms the killing of Letkholal @ Palal, president of Haokip Students’ Organisation (HSO) and secretary information and publicity of Haokip People’s Council (HPC), who was shot dead by unknown persons on June 23 night.
In a press release, the organisation said Letkholal was a devoted social leader who relentlessly worked for the upliftment of Kuki community.
It urged all individual/organisation concerned not to repeat such killing of a student leader in future.
