IMPHAL, Sep 19: Based on the recommendation of the nomination committee of NPF Manipur State Unit, and in exercise of the powers conferred on him, president of NPF Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu appointed W Morung Makunga as the president of NPF Manipur State Unit with immediate effect from 2017 to January 2020 in the interest of the party, according to an order issued by KG Kenye, secretary general & MP (RS), NPF.

SENAPATI, Aug 12:The Manipur State unit of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) in the meeting of its ‘office bearers’ held today in Imphal “resolved that its alliance with the BJP led Government in Manipur will continue”.
In a statement, the Manipur State unit of the NPF said, “NPF Manipur State unit took decision to extend support to the BJP led alliance after serious consideration of socio-economic and geo-political aspects confronting the people of the state.” The statement also said that, “Subsequently, a BJP led coalition Government in Manipur was installed with the NPF as an ally”.
The statement then claimed that “positive changes have started taking place on various fronts concerning the people” after few months of the coalition government formation in Manipur.
This statement was issued by Honreikhui Kashung, the general secretary (administration) of the Manipur State unit of NPF.
