RIMS plunges into a sea of woes

IMPHAL, Aug 12: Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) which is fully funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India is now quite disoriented and it would have serious impacts on its health care services.

Non-Teaching Employees’ Welfare Association, RIMS has resolved to shut Administrative Block of the hospital from July 4 and launch cease work strike from July 6 if the pending two months’ salary for its employees, pensioners, contractual staff and daily wage employees is not released by July 3.

IMPHAL, Jun 29: Digital payment mode has become operational in RIMS from today after digital payment system was launched in the medical institute by Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel on May 31 this year.

IMPHAL, Jun 12: No ultrasonography investigation will be done in RIMS for a few days due to delay in repairing the machine.
A press release issued today by the Medical Superintendent of RIMS stated that the repairing of the ultrasound machine could not be completed due to technical problems and appealed to the people to bear the inconvenience for some time till the issue is resolved.

IMPHAL, Apr 22 : A one day workshop on ‘Grossing technique and minimum data set reporting for common Cancer’ was organised by RIMS mini auditorium today.

IAS officer RK Dinesh today assumed the charge of RIMS officiating Director after he was appointed to the same post by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Soon after taking charge of RIMS officiating Director, RK Dinesh held a joint meeting with heads of different departments of the medical institute, informed a source.
