Restrictions on sale/purchase of land relaxed

OSR/DIPRIMPHAL, Jun 23 : The State Cabinet has decided to relax the earlier restrictions placed on sale and purchase of land and change of ownership. As such land can now be transferred to the name of relatives on the basis of gift deeds. However registration of land or change of ownership of land will need to be verified by the DC/BDO accompanied by a police verification exercise.
